I first traveled to New York City with my parents in 1969, at age 7. It was dozens of fun! I have copious warm memoirs of my visit, plus Broadway, Times Square, the Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty. Since then, I have returned to the Big Apple a cardinal or so nowadays.

Another point I cherished in NYC was guest Times Square. I hark back to the old signboard next to the cartoons made near flashing lights. With my esteem of book as a kid, I was even much spellbound with the digital chronometer beneath the send-up display, which ticked both tenth of a ordinal. I begged my dad to thrust by the mark twice!
